Lovey came from a shelter in Orlando. She was turned it by someone who said the owner's teenagers treated her like a soccerball. The shelter tried for 3 weeks to get her to be safe around people. One person there was able to win her over. When they sent her to us, they also sent a letter explaining what they tried and what helped with her and what didn't. She is a house dog and is learning people are okay. She barks at strangers and will only let 1 person touch her with hands. Another can pet her with a foot, but not hands. She will take treats from carefully selected people (or anyone with pizza), but no touching. She will bite, even those she almost trusts. We have no idea when she will be adoptable. Some day her courage will triumph over her fear and she will learn to like people.
