On December 17 we are honored to be invited to Yappy Hour at El Chico. This is a great, dog friendly dining event. Attendees get to buy raffle tickets for one of the many raffle baskets. If your ticket is drawn, you get the basket. You can bring your dog or meet everyone else's dogs. You could also bring one of ours. We have lots of dogs who would love to go out to dinner with people. There will be pictures with Santa and You can bring presents for our dogs also. If the present smells good enough, some pup just may like to open it.
Palm Bay Parade of Lights
Saturday December 3, 2016 we built a float and had lots of the horse back riding kids, their families and some of Mutley's Miracles volunteers take a group of our dogs to the parade. The dogs had a great time greeting the crowd. Butterfly appointed herself chief people greeter, Penny and Dixie entertained the kids, Sadie held down the float, and Tippy and Buttons kept an eye on everyone and made sure no one got left behiend. The Alaskan Malimutes are owned by a volunteer and pulled a cart that Penny and one of the kids got to ride in.
Saturday January 16, 2016 we will have some of our kid friendly dogs at Wickham Park Kid-a-palooza. This is a large event with over 74 vendors. We will be helping kids learn how to meet dogs safely, read a little bit of doggie body language, and why to leave service dogs alone. The event runs from 12-5 and has free admission. Open Farm Day
Saturday, February 6, 2016 we will have our first Open Farm Day We plan to be hosting open farm days once a month, depending on other activities and weather. Each month will have new games and activities to play with your dog. We will also have agility obstacles, lure coursing, lake play, and other fun things to do. We will charge $10 admission to bring your dog. This is a fund raiser for us. If you want to play with one of our dogs, admission is free. This month we have an agility course with jumps, a tunnel, and a teeter totter. We are working on setting up a lure course that was just donated to us. Check back to see if we succeed. The canoe is available, but the water is cold. We have sticks to fetch, grass to run and roll in, and probably mud puddles to get dirty in. Your dog can also attempt our horse jumping course.
